Catherine Conway, M.S., LCPC, CADC
Catherine Conway is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Addictions Counselor and Certified Poetry Therapist with more than 12-years of experience as a therapist. Trained in EMDR, she is currently undergoing certification in Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT). Catherine graduated from Aurora University, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and received her Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University, in 2001.
Currently, she is the President of The National Association for Poetry Therapy (www.poetrytherapy.org). She uses an integrative approach to help clients identify issues that prevent them from living a fulfilled life. She uses a strengths-based approach, integrating poetry, creative writing, journaling, and art therapy – as well as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy – to help clients identify problematic behaviors and beliefs that interfere with mental and emotional health and personal growth.
Catherine is also a Certified S.P.A. Sister, and facilitates Awakening Retreats and Wellspring Groups for women, helping women gain insight and reconnect with their true self through. Her areas of expertise are trauma, mood disorders, addictions, life transitions, grief and loss, and personal growth. She works primarily with adults.
