Kandee Willis, M.A., LCPC

Kandee earned her Master’s Degree in Human Services Counseling from National Louis University and is a licensed clinical professional counselor. She has worked in the behavioral health field for over 25 years serving diverse populations. She is certified in problem and compulsive gambling, has training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Levels 1, 2, and 3 as well as specific training in working with couples in recovery and is certified in teaching the 7 principles of making a marriage work.  Kandee is passionate about working with couples and helping them to ignite intimacy. In addition, she is a practicing sex therapist with extensive training in this area and is kink friendly.

Initially, Kandee served in the US Army as a behavioral science specialist counseling inmates, soldiers and their family members. She was a member of a combat stress team and worked with a MASH hospital during Desert Storm. She has worked with chronically mentally ill adults as well as with crisis intervention helping adolescents, adults and their families manage psychiatric crisis. In addition, she has experience facilitating therapy and psycho-educational groups in the management of schizophrenia, domestic violence, stress management, suicide prevention and substance abuse prevention in adolescents.

Kandee’s treatment philosophy is providing acceptance for all beings, understanding and helping clients to employ choices and behaviors with the emphasis on improving their lives. She accompanies her experience, education and skill with providing hope and reassurance along the way.
