Char Scott is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Type 73 School Social Worker and a Certified Intervention Professional. She has been working in behavioral health since 1986. Her professional credentials include a Bachelor Degree in Science from Indiana University in 1981, a Masters in Social Work from Loyola University in 1993 and a Post-Masters Certificate in school social work from Aurora University in 2004. Ms. Scott has developed two successful programs for co-occurring disorders over the last 20 years at MacNeal Hospital and Linden Oaks Hospital.

She also has extensive training in Arise Interventions, Group Psychotherapy, analytical/psychodynamic therapy, CBT and ACT. She is active in the treatment community on a national level to stay current with treatment programs and approaches. Living and working in Naperville, Char has a vested interest in improving the lives of area residents, especially working with schools, businesses and treatment centers. She has also developed a network of physicians she can rely upon for thorough assessments and medication if necessary.

Char is committed to helping people get well and live happy and productive lives. She helps many people go from disease to recovery each year through her Intervention program. In addition to her psychotherapy practice, Char is also on staff at the University of Southern California as an adjunct professor in the School of Social Work.
